Citylearn - The city is my learning space

The CITYLEARN project aims to improve creativity in non-formal learning, i.e. it seeks new ways to use the city as a place of learning and to improve the quality of informal educational activities, using new spaces, methods and tools. The specific goals are:

  • To compare and learn from the good practises of others in using different locations as learning environments

  • To learn how to turn a “leisure place” into a “learning place” and how to transform it to make it learning-friendly

  • To learn how to enhance Active Citizenship among learners and how to give it a European Dimension

  • To improve the quality of our activities by giving mobility opportunities to our learners and by establishing new partnerships for future projects

  • To discover the different partner countries, their cultures and the social system (NGOs, Political system, Educational system, etc.)

Town Halls, parks, gyms, libraries, museums, etc. will then be used as tools and environments for non-formal learning in the place of schools and/or internships, and this  “out of the box” approach to training will increase motivation and learning of participants and staff of the organizations involved in the project in which “lateral thinking” and “creativity” represent the key to success!
